Print out Fake Employment and Fake Income, Wages, 1099, w2, w-2, using your home computer printer! www.ProofofEmployment.com

This is one of the reasons that a lot of self-employed (and others who got No Doc loans) have to sign an IRS form that gives the mortgage company the right to request copies of your 1040 directly from the IRS anytime in the next three years. It's not very difficult to fake a pay stub or any of the other types of information they use to document income.

Back when I was applying for my very first mortgage I used a spreadsheet for my business (they wanted the current year and I hadn't filed yet for that year), an old style 12 column pad hand written spreadsheet. It was done in pencil for a reason because those things were a total bear to balance in both directions. You'd be cross-eyed tracking down errors. It had numerous erasures and corrections. So I decided to copy it over so it would be neater and easier to read, but the mortgage rep freaked out when he saw the neat copy and told me to put the original back in the package because the neat one looked fabricated in comparison.
