I can't believe Cerberus is getting to hold 30%+ (dispersing most to scattered holders) and not getting squeezed down to 4.9% or 9.9%. Even if they hold equity that is too high, most of it should have knock out provisions so they don't get unlimited upside on the gift of holding more than a low minority interest.

Treasury does not "need to release" the second half of TARP. That "Treasury official" is incompetent.

The cards are in Congress' hands.

They should split the second half into $150 billion and hold back $200 billion for another look see.

Get to January 20 or 21 and then let the new Treasury Secretary (or Obama) call it.
