Word has it there are eagles that live at the North end of Lake Sammamish, up near Marymoor Park. A friend of mine has photographed them.

On our chain of lakes there is a small island, perhaps 200 yards across that has one lone tree on it with an eagles nest. When the young ones get to the point you can see them we've spent many an afternoon anchored out front with a bottle of wine and cheese and just watched the eagles. Good and relaxing time.

I'll have to get a picture of that next summer and post it.

I've heard that eagles mate for life, so it would be fun to watch them mature with little ones.
