From what I can tell of the ones that are still trading:

FCX-M 18.2% premium over common with a 14.9% yield and only good for a year and half

FCXGL 36.6% premium over common with a 9.2% yield and good basically until the company goes BK or the stock price gets high enough to force a conversion to common

The premium over common for both of them seems way to high for me especially on FCX-M it basically kills the majority of your yield from the dividend.

Anyhow like you say it is probably too early to start betting on copper. The LME copper stock chart looks like complete crap...growing and growing and growing.
