Sonny-Re: "Where is everyone"

I suspect some are having difficulty logging into SI. I have learned in the past that I can usually get here through Chuckie's page when all else fails. That is how I got on this afternoon.

Its pretty scary right now, but I think it will swing our way. Money coming out of overseas markets has to go somewhere. Bonds are being bid up (which means interest rates down), and the domestic economy is still sound. I don't think I'm just whistling past the cemetary, I think things will be OK. My portfolio looks better than it did at 10 AM.

Sonny- Where is everyone?

I'm here, lurking the past week, forget today's bizarre market; Ot- even upset at one of the toughest World Series to watch. What happened to good pitching in the majors? (Cheering for Indians, tho' I love Leyland and esp. Jim Eisenreich).
Re: Market-My post #11695 last week spelled out my gut feelings on the market thru' beg. of. Dec., extreme volatility, overreactions-trading is riskier than ever imo. This A.M. on the treadmill, watching CNBC, listened to Louis Navellier, who echoed my sentiments-pretty scary- talked about Funds manager selling for window dressing, will buy back into market RIGHT AFTER THANKSGIVING, sees ist qrtr'98 as beginning of new rebound. Believes Hong Kong, as others have stated, just excuse to take profits. This downdraft today will help keep Greenspan out of our hair thru' next year. Bond market way up today, but tech stocks may be dead for more than a month, esp. INTC. Now I have to consider bet. CPQ, SUNW, COMS & a few others- but I'll be disappointed if a good entry price won't be there in 6 weeks. BTW-OAT (yea Gatorade), MRO (Oil stocks), DANB held their own today, as they have last 6 months, all up over 50%, Intel hybernating all these months. Still like UIS-IT WILL BE UP over 30% by the winter. Will our beloved INTC? Hope so, def. by the SPRING, & more.

Keep up the Great Posts- You're a good man.

Regards, Royco
