"significant" was not a modifier that I used. However (from the perhaps abnormally high global strength that America seemed to hold after the collapse of the Soviets --- when folks were saying that there was 'only one Super Power'), we have now clearly moved into a much more multi-polar global power structure. Occasioned by both advances in the relative 'strength' (economic, military, et al...) of various other nations (China, Russia, India, Brazil, the E.U., etc.) as well as American declines from that lofty point.
