Americans ALWAYS forget the previous disaster and look for something new to hurt them. Just remember recent history. We jumped from foolishness in telecom and dotcom to idiocy in real estate to wackiness in the oil patch without ever considering the consequences. That is what we do. The corporations with money also have sales, so they don't need govt. help or need to believe in govt. actions to make decisions. Unfortunately, we don't have enough of those cos. Layoffs are a sure way to get in line for taxpayer dollars, so the weak will layoff with a vengeance. My guess is that the strong are already pretty lean and mean.
