Tejek's point of reference is somewhat limited on this issue. But fundamentally, if you're going back to 1897, it is torturing logic not to go ALL the way back.

You go all the way back and you'll find that the Arabs have lived longer in Palestine than the Jews. Most of the early settlers in Palestine were not Jews or Arabs but warring tribes.
