The Doc wasn't sure that this shot would take some of the nerve pain away, but it might take two or three. There are at least three major problems he said from the x-rays and MRI...and what he did can only relieve one of them...the swelling of the nerve in the spinal cord canal that is causing some of that pain... The compressed spine from the collapsed disk/disks is in the neurosurgeon's hands...

My husband asked if there was ANYTHING I could do to help...and the Doc said NO. Like that, although he explained why. I didn't like to hear that because usually there is always something we can do....

Have you seen an orthopedic Doctor or Surgeon who specializes in the spine? Both of the Docs I'm seeing are specialists of the spine, and do really seem to know what they are doing. To have that kind of pain you're having makes me wonder if the problem still hasn't been addressed or fully found as yet....I KNOW it takes a long time for bone to heal thought, and it's painful!

I've only seen one chiropractor that I would trust with my spine, (he's both an MD and a chiropractor) but he's in Idaho..
But even so, I think that with the multiple problems going on now, I probably will stick with the current Docs...

sI know that like you, that neither of us sounds like we think it's very good to just lounge around in bed and not do anything... HA! That is an understatement!

Sending good thoughts your way!
