Thats the point Al. But it also works for modern isreal vs the pals. Facts on the ground say there should be two states, so lets have two states. Prereq is neither side should be rocketing the other or denying the other sides right to exist on the land they are now on. I think the jews are going to have to give up all settlements...the palestinians think pelestine (israel) was snatched from them to begin with...now they see settlements on what's left of "their" land and you have biblical hatred fed by anger on steroids. As long as Hamas has the support of the people, this problem will continue...I don't care how many times israel invades gaza trying to root them out...it probably actually makes them stronger....intuitively I have to believe that Hamas continues to have strong support as long as this anger continues to be fed by Jewish policy....
