Really? You mean the fact that like half of Illinois' past governors have been convicted is a good thing? Or that Blagojevich's selling of the Senate seat (did he sell it to Roland Burris? hmmm) is "benevolent" for the people of Illinois and the rest of this nation?


Its benevolent in the sense that people don't die in Chicago because of machine politics. That wasn't always true prior to WW II.

Personally I don't want this nation to become like Mexico, where corruption is the norm.

There will always be a certain level of corruption in a country with maybe the Nordic nations being the notable exceptions. As for your concern, you best get away from the OC as soon as possible. S. CA ranks right up there in terms of corruption......probably worse than Chicago. You don't see that because of the industry you are in.
