On a more serious note, Friedman writes about how oil has ensured the lack of creativity and development of the Arab world. When the oil runs out, it will usher in a period of calamity for the Arab world as that source of wealth disappears, but the end result will be liberating, in that it will force the Arab world to invest in its people for a change.
