Daniel - the recent sell-off in LSI and the fact that no recent buyer is really sitting on significant profits pretty much meant that LSI would not get smacked too badly today. Let's see how the world's markets recover tomorrow (or really as we speak!). The fundamental picture for stocks has not changed - this was one of those "external" shocks that caught up with the US market today.

I own UTEK. They disappointed today re: earnings. Long term they look solid (but do your own Due Diligence). Weakness in disk drive sector (TFH). Heck they went up around 15% a few days ago (maybe Brinker?). Also I'm not certain but aren't many of their customers US based? Disk drive over-capacity will hurt them near term. But the new products should mitigate earnings concerns intermediate to long term. Notice how we had over 2 hours to dump at 31 and change prior to the conference call at 11:00! Same thing happened last c.call when stock which had been at 25+ went down to 22 1/2 or so after and during c.call. I'm in hold/accumulate mode re: UTEK (as usual with my stocks n/t there is trouble.)

Of course if there is any hint of a material slowdown in capital spending by the logic companies (and others) or say if the DRAM guys do not move faster, UTEK will be lumped in with all the other semicon-equip makers and be thrashed. Which would mean buying opportunity...
