Have you seen these missiles? You could build them in your garage.

A lot of what you said is true; however, like everyone else, they learn with each iteration. The term "sugar rocket" implies a certain sweetness that simply isn't present in the extremely deadly terrorist weapons.

What is important when you talk about these devices is (a) how much high explosive they can carry and (b) over what distance can they be counted on to reliably deliver their payloads. And the results of both these measures are "well beyond an effective level". And they can crank 10s of them in a day, probably more.

While they can be made in a garage, it is important to remember that it makes them no less harmful. Today's "sugar rockets" carry 3-5kg of high explosive, probably more, and can deliver that payload at least 12-15 km.

As a terrorist weapon used from Gaza they are every bit as effective as Saddam's Scuds were from Iraq.

I would point out also that they do have access to Katyushas via Iran and PIJ as well as some Katyusha-like rockets they have built themselves. These are capable of carrying large payloads of 20kg and are believed to be chemical warhead capable.

They are serious business.

So this is their new firework toys with that 40km range?

How about the war head, maybe fermented sugar (C2H5OH)?

Do you think they are paying for them? I don't."

That's the thing about Hamas...they are very clever. They know how to make the most of what they have. They are well run and efficient. I suspect they a reflection ofthe Zionist orgs. like Irgun from before WW II.

Having said that, I don't agree with many of their tactics. I found the suicide bombings particularly disgusting. But if the capabilities of Hamas were turned to the positive, they could create a vibrant Palestinian state.
