Yes those seem reasonable targets for gold; I would think we at least reach those. The current level of gold/silver advertisement everywhere (TV/internet etc) indicative of retail traps should scare investors and a violent price shakeout may get rid of some of that optimism. Longer term gold will do well but so will stocks after coming out of a recession/deflation/depr..
Its likely that both gold and S&P see their bottom around 650ish and then show about 3x upside potential in the ensuing up market

as this gold action either continues per trend or changes in whatever way



and as this dow:gold chart goes to 1:1, whether gold will be at 600, 6k, or 60k


it all depends on how the free market moves and the officialdom shifts.

the rest, be they tbt, srs, tan, and whatnot, will simply fall in line as they will.

let us watch and brief 2009.
