Quotes for the shopping bag

finance.yahoo.com

I did no particular DD except for low RS and Cash holdings (avoiding debt rich companies). Thanks to the minimal efforts I put into this, I overlooked one stinker in this bag, which sails under a new flag.

When I discovered this stock I pruned most of it immediately, at a profit.

Now: "Which one is the stinky stock is the in new clothes?"

Announcing results of the January Effect 2009 Purchases:

The Portfolio (without hedges) gained 4.05% since Dec 31st; or 10% measured from my purchase prices.

The hedges which were similar in size have been very effective and gained in total 20% (consisting of SKF, SRS and ESTX50). The SRS and SKF went from the portfolio earlier. The ESTX50 has also been covered but it trades around 2200 today.

The Russel 2000 started the year with 499.35 and is now at 443.53, a loss of 11.20% in January.

Only few stocks showed gains: GSIG which is still rising; MGT which briefly hit $1 or so, but gave up the gains, and mostly URZ which I got rid at a really good price. I would probably keep GSIG, TLGD, OPWV and OIIM.

The stinky stock was LEDR which I quicky eliminated pretta flat when I found out what it was. It did nothing since.
