One group of the Eagles is down near 1-90 on the way to Bellevue at that exit, and we think there is another group some place near the middle of the island.....

Isn't that the Mercer Slough area? That's a great area for wildlife habitat. I've canoed there before and it's really a nice urban park.

We were just amazed to see at least 12 Eagles sitting high up in the trees beside the river on our way up to Index yesterday. We've never seen that many Eagles along that route at one time.

The Skykomish River system is starting to look like the Skagit.
