I know a guy who lives on a backwater of the Illinois River that doesn't freeze and around 50 eagles nab fish there. At times they land on his deck and eat their catch 6 feet from his window.

I don't know for sure, but Eagles are not a part of SC that I lived in so it was quite a shock to see one in the trees.
All I know is that the lady saved the Eagle and I don't know why.
