In an interview with The Press-Enterprise, the anonymous blogger who declined to give his name said he's actually an active Democrat in Minnesota and never intended the cartoon to be taken as a slight to Obama. The blogger contacted the newspaper after it published a story about how an Inland GOP women's club used the cartoon in its October newsletter, sparking cries of racism, innumerable news reports and widespread outrage across the country last week.

The second one was worn by several Republicans attending a Palin/McCain rally. I am not sure if the creator was Republican or not.
