Israel's assault on Gaza has achieved nothing of any real benefit for Israel, in fact the opposite. No matter what Israel does, at the end, it will end up smelling like roses. Are you underestimating the power of the Zionist movement? ;-)

I question the timing of this latest conflict with Hamas. One has to wonder if Israel hasn't orchestrated the conflict with Gaza as a rationale for an air assault on Iran's nuclear operations. There is a lot of propaganda from Israel about missiles being supplied by Iran, but little or nothing said about the fact that they were manufactured in Russia and China. Hamas has been lobbing missiles at Israel for some time. Why do the Zionists respond now ... just before Bush is to leave office? Israel can claim that bellicose Iran provoked a strike on their nuclear facilities.
