Six months ago, nobody - nobody, not Roubini, not Mish - was predicting USD would be as strong as it is now. There's a logical explanation for what appears to be a temporary phenomenon, but USD defying gravity - even temporarily - was completely unexpected.

In May of this year I believe Marc Faber was predicting a rise in the dollar (saying it was oversold..) and an a eventual drop in commodity prices (saying the were overbought..) but for the future he is predicting an eventual reversal of those conditions.
Roubini has been predicting a substantial decline in the USD since at least 2004.
