Brokerage houses holding positions in these juniors might sell and free up cash to buy other stocks. It's called 'rotating'. Later they'll try to buy back in.

What's important to know is that days like today have little change on the value of the reserves in the ground. Today is called your "shakeout" day. If the shorters haven't bought back on a day like today, than they become vulnerable. Only when commodity prices dive does that have an effect on explorations.

But also, days like today effect those companies that have nothing expected until next year. Such as those companies not drilling or exploring. That's why DRZ and the rest are holding up. If DRZ wasn't drilling than the price would dive.
