I dunno. It all depends on what kind of prep. they have been doing and what kinds of weapons they have been given. Urban warfare is tough. You can do house to house, but it gets really dicey if the bulk of the population is not only cross with you, but is ready and willing to take the fight to you. Your only chance is if the average Abdul is going to stay indoors and just try to get through things alive. The Merkava tanks would be the IDF's main tool. Its ability to carry infantry inside and protected is key to their survival. But if they can be compromised... I don't know.........the Israelis have really stoked the anger of the Gazans. According to an Al Jazeera reporter.....initially the Gazans blamed Hamas for the attack but due to typical Israeli overkill, public opinion has turned badly against Israel. That means 1.4 million people will be gunning for you as you go through the streets. Not a great set up but I am not a military expert.
