You claimed my primary source was the Wikipedia and Hollywood. Later you amended that to include a book.

That was counterfactual.

It actually doesn't surprise me that the Pliny's, the Old and the Bold, didn't use primary material. Rome by that point eschewed actually doing footwork and relied on second, third or many more hand information.
