I am an unreconstructed bleeding heart who has to force himself to impose discipline on my pacifism based on a country's right of self defense whether israel or the US or any other nation for that matter. You may have been a caring liberal once but you are no longer. There is absolutely no defense, no excuse for what Israel is doing to Gaza. A small group of neos have gained control over the Israeli gov't and the once caring liberals of Israel, the Labourites, have ceded the gov't over to Likud/Kadima out of their fear. They are letting them do this dirty work because they are afraid to do it to themselves but believe it needs to be done. They are horribly misguided. We dont fight when we chat because we agree on most of this. I am not happy when anyone is killed unlike chris. The only people dying are the Palestinians.....which is usually the case. The Israelis in their current incarnation have become monsters only 1 or 2 levels short of turning into nazis. This will be Israel's Katrina. They must be stopped.
