Happy New Year Ian. Posted this to my buddy sioux Pal who likes poker:

Poker story for you:

I have a bunch of scientist friends 25 years younge than me with whom I play poker during the year. They are really nice guys, and good players, but still one level low i.e. still a few levels blow profitable poker.

They only know how to play tight statistical poker. They cannot see how to play strong and aggressively. I believe it is a zen thing of seeing the game.

I beat them up good last night drinking congac.

We are having a very rough winter, animals are really struggling. Deer populations way down.

Anyway I usually beat them pretty easily drunk, but I started out playing straight, telling them I was going to play hard tonight and use the proceeds to feed the birds-lol.

Snow is deep.

So I gave the birds a double helping today-lol.

Hello onepath, its koan got me thinking about warrants, usually I like to do all the research I can before I pull the trigger on anything, For my first trade on warrants I bought some Mar.wt because I know the company and when I saw how cheap the warrants were I thought what the heck, for a hundred bucks and change I could get 10,000 warrants, I only ended up with 5000 though, I was the only one to bid that day, with 2 million warrants out I thought Maybe I wasn't so smart after all as nobody else is buying, I used the Black Scholes calculator, thanks to Cd for telling me about it and CL for having a link on her board, it seems to be a great buy, time will tell at the cheap price I bought, not much to lose if it turns sour. The only thing I didn't understand about the Black Scholes calculator was factoring in the interest I left it at 6%.
