Children have a very small universe and love justice for themselves.. much empathy is learned as we mature.. yes it's a self preservation tool.. while most of us are wicked and naturally prefer mercy Yes JRR could be more long winded on justice... (from the Big Book I read in grade 7 in the 'special kids' class :o) Many that live deserve death. And some die that deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then be not too eager to deal out death in the name of justice, fearing for your own safety. Even the wise cannot see all ends. preferring mercy today seems to be abrogating the rights of victims... I'll take my chances ... I'm not eager to deal out death... but sometimes it is pretty clear...
