$0.18 ... one penny over estimates. The conference call was up-beat. They announced a new alliance with Canadian Marconi but it was very vague. There was a question as to whether or not Marconi might take an equity stake (e.g., buy out) Novatel but management declined to comment. This good report, coupled with speculation about the Marconi alliance should help to propel the stock. It looks like Novatel is finding new ways to grow their business, which makes the 30% projected growth rate conservative. Selling at 14 times 1998 estimates the stock is significantly undervalued.
