I was a bit surprised at this particular choice. I'm not doubting Panetta's experience, but reviewing his past shows no prior intelligence experience - all the committee chairs I saw in your post did not appear to include the 'spymaster' arena. Perhaps I missed something. In either case, I hope it works out.
