Why not? It has been clear that their "principles" were always fitted to their desire for power.

You don't understand ideologues. There is no shame when you are doing what you have to do to promote your ideology. Trust me, I have had tons of experience with them when I worked for the councilman....dealing with ideologues from the right and from the left.
