You clueless libs have no idea about the basics of life. You want coal to pay it's own way or die? If coal dies do you have any clue at all as to what the cost of electricity would escalate to? You have no idea about how many base load plants are coal operated. Base load is the backbone of the power grid. You simply can't change it without a huge influx of nukes. There in nothing else to make up the base load capacity of coal units.

accept right wing talking points at face value. Actually, I was taking Obama's talking point at face value. He's the one who said electricity rates would skyrocket under his plan. Obama's position regarding energy is to make polluters like coal pay their own way using a carbon tax. Makes sense only if you foolishly think CO2 is a pollutant, instead of a trace gas vital to life. Obama SPECIFICALLY outlined a system wherein the FREE MARKET LOL gets to pick and choose winners instead of having the government do so. No, he outlined a system to coerce the market to do stupid things that liberal greens want.
