Lather, that was Moonlight Madness without the moonlight. <g>

This somewhat unearthly vocalization was a loud hoarse coughing bark. It sounded kinda sorta like a big dog with a bone in his throat - or perhaps some monster cat working out a hairball the size of a truck tire ... Three mighty horking barks, then silence for two minutes. Then three more saurian coughs from another corner of our back forty.

Dear JQS...oops JQC....Ther' ain't nuttin' wihin' a million miles I can do or say to top that...You all are having too much fun around here.....Will have to peak in the window more often....

Great name...Birkenstalker....
Sara....hummm... Well, you could have suggested DeOgE....or DammIt....

We actually had both of those names to two cute little doggies in our earlier neighborhood...

This neighborhood is more boring. Ralph, Sandy, Ruggles, Whiskers, Louie, Bandit and our Pixie and Caesar round out the critters in the near neighborhood.

We've only had one owl (that we know of) in one of the back trees....Didn't hear any knock, knock jokes from him....He must have been waiting for Ms. Owlie to laugh with him...
