It makes you wonder. Is he being served up to give congress the token appointee that they can reject so he can bring in someone else? Bush nominating Meier for the Supreme Court comes to mind. Couldn't have been a worse choice. Is it maybe to satisfy some promise to the Clintons? How can someone with no experience in the spook world run probably one of the most important agencies? What sort of message does that send to our enemies? Open Season on America.
