LOL - richly deserved. Did you see this that I posted on the PfP thread? While there's many influences that have contributed to Iran's push to spread radical Islam, Carter and Zbigniew Brzezinski are probably the most responsible because of the way they mishandled and interfered with the Afghanistan/Russian war and, not only allowing, but encouraging Khomeini's and the mullah's rise to power. Carter called him "A man of God." Even after he was warned not to, he allowed the Shah to enter the country for cancer treatment giving Khomeini the excuse to take over the American Embassy and hold the Americans hostage for 444 days. Iranians resented America's support of the Shah and Carter helped unite that country into the Islamic Revolution. Look at what's happened as a result of that. Good summary of 2008: youtube.com
