Trying to force them to accept Western democracy is STUPID. It takes a Western mind to appreciate democracy. I don't think they'll accept a "Western" democracy, but I do think a form of democracy will work in Iraq. We'll find out soon enough. Having just turned Fallujah and the Green Zone over to IA, we're going to start getting some sense of what they can do without our presence. Things are moving quickly over there. Which most people have no idea about since the news media have almost totally withdrawn from Iraq, there being insufficient bad news to warrant coverage.
