In reality, I don't think I've ever seen the American media more sympathetic to the Palestinian cause than today. That might be understandable, except for that little "nuance" called Hamas, whose evil (or stupidity, depending on your perspective) is excused because of the dire straits Palestinians continue to find themselves in. There is another point you miss........Hamas exists because Israel denies Palestinians their freedom. There is a progression in process......after all, Hamas didn't exist 40 years ago......where the groups opposing Israel grow more radical and extreme with each passing year. Right now, there are smaller groups in Gaza, more radicalized, that are all too ready to take over should Hamas fall. These groups don't feel they have anything to lose. In fact, at this point, only Israel has something to lose. And that's why I think a blowback is coming that will shock the world and do some serious damage to Israel.
