ElM, you are so funny. Your conjured up explanation is why Brazil can never amount to much. You turn it into the victims of the attack being the cause of the attack and deserving of being attacked and murdered. You like 'street law' where criminal gangs mete out 'justice' to anyone they like.

But I agree with you that "excessive heroics" is a warning flag, and reporting a fine story is not the accurate picture of what really happens.. Journalists rarely get things right, in my experience of events I know about by direct experience.

I think it was just a simple robbery that went bad. Stuff like that happens all over the world. In this instance the victim was famous, so it was widely reported.
