what i meant is if the hamas infrastructure has been decimated and core units of members killed or wounded. No i dont expect that either. All thats really needed is a collective memory for hamas of what happens when they go too far. I think the trigger here was the longer range rockets hitting towns further into israel which meant the gaza border with egypt was more porous than they guessed. Also election day allied barak and livni to stave off what might become an easy bibi win. I predict that livni and barak will join forces now to defeat likud. In Israel, both look good now. Need to stop the war before it begins to look quagmiry as in lebanon.
