What's even more fun than this game, is the fact that I actually own all the stocks I picked for this contest, as well as another screamer - AHD (Atlas Pipelines). The broad common thread is the stocks are all energy related, and many of the one's I picked up for one or two bucks a share were among the most trashed out stocks. The bet was, was that if they showed any kind of a pulse, they'd get a real decent bounce. The coal sector is pretty much hated, but you still need it if you're going to make electricity and steel, and ACI is one of the more decent companies in the sector, and Weatherford was just way oversold. I owe patron and tommaso for NGD. Gold seems to be a no brainer going forward with trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see. - A.
