I clearly grasp more than you do. However, most of your posts rant AGAINST alternatives. So no wonder myself and others doubt your claims that you are for diversifying our energy supplies. You seem to be 100% focused on oil and ignore the true costs of oil. Hell, you won't even fully acknowledge that the US is funding both sides of the war on terror, through our massive consumption of oil (25% of global consumption is from the US).

Hawk,

I'm not sure why anyone is arguing then. Both Mindmeld and I have said many times that we should explore and develop domestic sources of oil. And we have also said we should subsidize alt energy to get the immature industry off the ground.

So I guess we are in complete agreement. Close the thread.
