Experience leads to the wrong remedies when we're caught in a very long cycle event that is outside anyone's living experience.
What you need then is a student of history with great common sense and judgment. Let's all hope that Obama has that stuff.

It's impossible to compare Presidents because each has his own set of unique crisis handling to deal with.

I am becoming more cynical and sometimes think they only have to keep the public believing some sort of illusion that our gov't exists for them.
