I would not say so, but the Fed and the government are sure
working hard to make it happen. Either the dollar crisis
or worse, hyperinflation. We have to see how they address
the thing once it actually happens. Normally, a central
bank would raise rates fast to defend the currency. If not,
then it keeps cratering into complete oblivion. My guess is
they won't raise.

A major downward adjustment in the dollar is the best thing that could possibly happen for the US long-term.

In fact so much so, that when it happens, we may find the Chinese and Japanese take strong steps to prevent it.

The mainstream economists all say that we're so enlightened now that beggar-your-neighbor devaluations and trade protectionism wars couldn't possibly happen in THIS global recession.

I say BULLSH*T. Human nature and political imperatives haven't changed one tiny bit. It will happen.
