When I left florida in 2000, it was among the least expensive states in which to live. When I visit these days I find it very expensive...what was Bush's contribution to this progression? I don't know but your assessment is accurate. I'm sure part was housing cost... it used to be so cheap. When housing goes up you have to pay people more and you have to charge more if employees cost more etc. The hurricanes must have had an impact too....pushing up insurance costs for both houses and cars.
