I meant just the land assigned to the Pals in the original partition agreement, designated by the Green line. Not all of Israel.

I agree. I do think if peace does come, many israeli arabs may want to settle in the new palestine. I suspect some separation might be a pre-req for later confederations and dare i say federations. Given the geography, we have a situation where one plus one might equal three at least in economic terms.

I think if Israel gave back EVERY BIT of land they've taken from the Pals, they'd have a lot more moral standing.

Ain't gonna happen. There are 5-6 million people inside the Green Line now, most of whom had nothing to do with the whole mess. I think they should be able to keep it, but not the WB and Gaza. However, if the Israeli Arabs do gain enough in number to vote down the Jewish character of the state, I'm fine with that.


For Gaza and the WB to succeed as an independent state they have to connect.....for efficiency purposes. Going through Israel every time to get from one to the other will not work. That means there has to be some expansion of their land area.
