Let's talk GE. I bought a little bit at 34, thinking it was a good deal then, and got slammed. I still have it because it wasn't a big position.

Now GE is ridiculously cheap but I think it will get cheaper, regardless of fundamentals or the divie. I follow the stock closely because my Father holds a huge position in it and has for many years. One thing I've noticed about GE is- it follows the DJIA pretty closely.

So here is my hypothesis. If the DJIA nose dives this year to the 6K-7K range, which I think it will, then GE will follow, and that is the time to buy.

Anyone agree or disagree?

Infosys sees no impact from Nortel banruptcy filing
BANGALORE, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Infosys Technologies does not see any impact on its finances after one of its clients Nortel Networks filed for bankruptcy, its chief financial officer said on Thursday.

"Nortel's contribution to our revenues is less than half a percent of our yearly revenues based on the current revenue run rate," V. Balakrishnan said in a statement.

"We do not believe that this will have any material impact on our operations or financial condition."

Nortel filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday hoping to save a once highflying business whose decade-long decline has accelerated with the global economic crisis.
