(TSX VENTURE: SBW.V) is pleased to announce it has engaged PEG Mining Consultants Inc. (PEG) of Barrie, Ontario to complete an independent NI 43-101 resource estimation for the Main Zone Ni-Cu-Co deposit at the Company's wholly owned Nickel King project in the southern Northwest Territories. During the fall of 2008 Strongbow completed an internal review of exploration data from the Nickel King project. As part of the review the Company engaged PEG to construct a series of geological block models of the Main Zone. The first phase of the study consisted of developing a geological block model for the Upper and Lower Sills of the Main Zone. Initially the intent of the modeling was to provide Strongbow with; i) conceptual tonnage and grade values for a potential mineral deposit and, ii) an opinion whether all or a portion of the potential mineral deposit could be classified as an inferred mineral resource if appropriate verification work was completed. The internal investigation is now complete and PEG is of the opinion that drilling information for the Main Zone is sufficient to upgrade the completed block model to a NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource. Work on the resource estimation has commenced with a forecasted completion date of late February 2009. The Nickel King project is part of Strongbow's ongoing exploration of the Snowbird Tectonic Zone (SBTZ). The SBTZ is a major crustal scale structure and represents an underexplored region of Canada that is prospective for magmatic sulphide nickel deposits. Strongbow maintains a 100% interest in approximately 320,000 hectares of mineral claims, leases and permits along a 240 km strike length of the southern SBTZ. Outside of Nickel King, a number of priority exploration targets have been identified, primarily located in Saskatchewan. Strongbow's exploration programs are conducted under the supervision of David Gale, P.Geo. (BC), Vice-President of Exploration for Strongbow and a Qualified Person within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101. STRONGBOW EXPLORATION INC. Kenneth A.
