If it hasn't happened yet, this won't do it. Their product line is stronger than it has been in a long time. And the new process looks really good. Given that their marketing department seems to have gotten an infusion of brains somehow with Hector gone, they should be able to survive even an extended downturn. An example is their new Neo line. Which, in and of itself isn't going to save the company. But it is an example of a change in thinking.

What they did was take existing products and repackaged them in a way that helps them exploit a niche where they weren't before.

Look at this HP product.

Yes, it isn't the most power processor in the world. But its graphics capabilities are excellent and the power consumption is decent. And the price point is great.
