Duh!! That's what I stated... you have your eyes set upon a Tesla and you're completely satisfied that it will only get 200-250 miles between charges and likely not have adequate service and support for when it breaks down. Your Tesla will be your personal "plaything" and that's not what J6P is looking for, especially at the price you're going to pay for it (or even an economy 4 passenger model, should they manage to launch one.. see lawsuit between Tesla and Fisker Automotive which was overturned).

I think you have me confused with someone else.

As of this Sept, 2007 article, the battery costs $14K and GM was looking to "lease" it, not buy it, from the manufacturer.

Hawk, your major problem is that you are looking backwards not forward. Here is a quick google of "lithium battery plant". Now you may think these things are being built but nobody is going to buy the batteries but you are betting against some of the smartest business minds in the world. Maybe your problem is that small heartland town. YOU need to get out more?
