i was just on the phone with in-law and allowed him to buy a pt bar off of me

his issue, summarized, was simple:
- redeemed residual holdings out of share market over the past few weeks
- funds earning zero
- real estate looks early
- nothing else looks right
- officialdom teams usa, japan, china, eu all scare him
- nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, so many ways to die, and no way to stop
