Sounds like you're working yourself out of a job...if so, what will you do then?

Dogs and cats are so cute, and many are just plain smart. My son and DIL have always had English Springer Spaniels....their newest one was about 10-11 weeks old when we visited them Thanksgiving week. He's an adorable and proud puppy but still isn't great on learning house rules. (Potty training and not eating electric cords are two issues where he’s deficient...)

Everyday we were there, he came into our room, and he couldn't get on the bed, but wanted to...so we put him up. He goes in there every day, DIL says, just to check to see if we have come back. He perks up his ears and listens when I call them/him on the phone....

Caesar, one of our two Paps, takes it upon himself to remind us that he wants a treat...He makes a run for the kitchen louvered doors pantry, and bangs on it with his paw. If for some reason we aren't paying attention, he does it more forcefully the 2nd time, and has serious expectations of his reward...

Worse than little kids....<grin>
